MY STORY

Hi, I'm Gauuri Verma, a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Product Design. I just completed an incredible four-year journey at UID, Karnavati University, Gujarat, India.
I was fortunate enough to participate in a Global Design Program across 4 different countries. This experience gave me the unique opportunity to immerse myself in diverse design cultures and gain invaluable insights from each.
My global journey began at NABA in Milan, Italy, where I immersed myself in the elegance and history of Italian design, understanding how tradition and innovation blend seamlessly in their architecture and everyday objects. We then traveled to Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, where I explored contemporary and forward-thinking approaches to design, influenced by the country's modern infrastructure and dynamic cultural landscape. The final leg of my international education took me to Nottingham Trent University in the UK, where I gained a deep appreciation for the harmony between British tradition and modernity, learning how historical contexts shape contemporary design.
Back at UID in Gujarat, I integrated these diverse experiences after each semester, enriching my understanding of how design is a universal language that can communicate across borders.
In my third year, I also had the chance to intern with Havells India Ltd as part of their CXD design team. During my internship, I designed a full-body hair epilator, which was a fantastic opportunity to delve into product design for real-world applications. I gained hands-on experience with the technology behind product development and learned how industrial companies operate, from ideation to execution. This experience allowed me to apply my skills in a professional setting, working on such an exciting project, and learn from seasoned professionals.
Overall, my academic and professional journey has been a transformative experience, broadening my understanding of design from ancient traditions to modern innovations. I am eager to continue this exploration, bringing a global perspective to every project I undertake and contributing to the ever-evolving field of design.
